Preschool Program
We offer separate classrooms for one-, two-, and three-year-olds. Each class maintains low teacher-student ratios, with two lead teachers and support staff available throughout the day. Children engage in morning circle time to establish a community-minded routine. Teachers prepare lessons according to thematic units that focus on sensory and play-based learning experiences. We also partner with parents to support child growth in self-care skills like hand-washing, dressing, and toileting. All preschool students enjoy both morning and afternoon outside play sessions.
Elementary Program
At Persimmon Elementary, we serve kindergarten through fifth grade with a whole-child approach that nurtures academic, social, and emotional growth. Our small class sizes, immersive learning experiences, and hands-on projects create an engaging, personalized environment where students thrive. Teachers collaborate closely across grade levels to ensure a harmonious and developmentally appropriate experience that follows Florida State Standards while honoring individual student interests. We prioritize mastery over grades, with report cards focused on progress and skill development—grades are introduced gradually starting in 3rd grade. Each day includes at least 60 minutes of outdoor play and learning, and instead of homework, we encourage nightly family reading.
VPK Program
Our Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program supports four- and five-year-olds as they prepare for kindergarten through joyful, intentional learning. Each class follows the Early Learning Coalition curriculum, adapted into engaging weekly themes that spark curiosity and creativity. Through play-based lessons, children build early literacy, number sense, and social-emotional skills in a nurturing environment with low teacher-student ratios. VPK students explore big questions, collaborate with peers, and gain confidence as independent thinkers. The school day runs from 8:30am–12:30pm, with optional wrap-around care available, and includes daily outdoor time for play and exploration.
